U14 Wealdstone 2-2 Northolt Eagles A lot of effort from the boy's on a very heavy pitch can't be faulted, we battled well in conditions that made good passing football (and running) difficult, this was a game of missed opprtunities that I fear may cost us come the end of the season as we really needed the three points today and with the chances we had we should have been out of sight even by half time. We scored thanks to Frankie getting his first goal for the club and a cracker it was too, our second came from Louis who was making his debut along with Abdi and both left the field having impressed a lot. Unfortunately we gave away a freekick on the edge of our box which Wealdstone put away to get back in the game and with their tails back up after heading for defeat they scored an equaliser after a defensive mix up in our box. 2-2 Post match feelings are that although pleased with the boys effort we lacked a clinical edge in front of goal and we really have to start taking those chances if we are to push on, we missed two players today which meant having to re-organise the back line and this has to be taken into account when looking at the goals we conceded. Next week we are at home to Kodak who are the league leaders so that will be a challenge for us but the pressure will surely be on them to continue their good run whilst we have nothing to fear from anyone and I know the boy's are up for the challenge and will be giving their all for a certain young man in the Eagles ranks.
