U14's Hillingdon Borough 9-0 Northolt Eagles We went away to Hillingdon full of optimism at putting in a good performance and crashed spectacularly, there is not a lot we can give ourselves credit for apart from turning up, Hillingdon are a good side that play some attractive football and we gave them far too many opportunities in which to do it. I'm very disappointed that we have sunk this low and again am having to report that we are not taking what we have learnt and the way we do things in training into the games on Sunday. It all comes down to the basic stuff again and we have shown in previous games that we can do it but it appears some players are for some reason not willing to do it and /or don't have the passion to do it on a Sunday. This is baffling as the way I see things it is a privilege to play for this club, even to be just playing football in a competitive Sunday league as many boy's are not able to do so through lack of ability or family support. We will be having a team meeting Friday evening to get to the bottom of a few things and to re-iterate the importance of a number of issues including being disciplined in a team environment which includes specifically training and also a tactical overhaul in the team, we have persevered for too long with a system with is the standard for most teams but it has become painfully apparent over time we do not have the players that can play to it, so we have no alternative but to totally change the way we play our game and best utilise the players strengths that we have. I am very disappointed that some players think training is one big laugh and there is a failure to conduct themselves in the right way and also to mickey take an opponents players whilst substituted is totally unacceptable which could also potentially lead to a more serious incident, I have unfortunately had too place one player on a two week suspension for ill-discipline and will not hesitate to add to the list if I witness any more behaviour which quite frankly lets the team and the Northolt Eagles down. We have a big squad which i am trying to keep happy and who are all desperate to play, and the bottom line is if players don't prove themselves for the team either in their work rate or behaviour I will be forced to release them from the club. I don't apologise for sounding so miserable in this report because I am miserable and will be all week till the next game that's how much it affects me and all of the managers of this club when we see the team lose, certain individuals should remember that also when they can't be bothered to put the effort in that we have put the effort in and in some cases their parents have also.
