We kicked off in the rain and for the first half an hour looked like we were being forced to play against our will.
It was like the team were a bunch of strangers that would have rather been indoors playing FIFA on the X box
On about 20 mins Hillingdon scored from inside our 6 yard box from a corner that we failed to clear, Hillingdon didn't play well but they work as a team, more than we did in the first half.
Anyhow the second half kicked off with our guys somehow got the game by the scruff of the neck and basically spent 95% of the second period in the oppositions half, hitting the crossbar, 2 good penalty appeals turned down, at least 5 good saves by their keeper and a refereeing display that was the worst I've seen in the 10 years I've been running football teams.
I'm not normally one for blaming referees, but this performance to put it politely was very poor
Hillingdon actually played liked they'd thrown the towel in, deciding to defend virtually the whole second half in their penalty box, but we would not have won this game had we been playing till midnight tonight, it was just one of those days.
On any other day this game would have ended 5-1 or 6-1, to Eagles, but when you think about it we gifted them the goal, which decided the game.
Man of the match; Conor McGrath, good display and fantastic attitude to the game!
Thoughts: When we play as a team, our game is on another level.
