A-team
We started the season back last year with 1 good win against a really strong side and with 2 draws and 1 defeat against teams i would consider we should beat, but that's football! We then showed great character going on to win 6 and draw 1 of the remaining 7 games. Phase 2 was a great deal better and we were much more consistent, we were three points off top with about 4 games to go but had a game in hand over with Spartans and phase 1 winners LNER, we then drew with Spartans, we were 1-0 up away and they equalised in the last minute, we won the next 2 easily, so we went into the last game of the season against pitshanger knowing that a win would put us joint second with Spartans and 2 points off LNER who were top, that was the day we were made to wait an hour in the cold as they had to wait for a goal to arrive, when it did arrive they gave us a 5-1 spanking.
All in all i was very happy with our season, bearing in mind we lost Luke Jones to a brain haemorrhage and had a half fit Troy Windshceffell due to lung problems, Troy had scored us average 25 goals a phase over previous seasons and im sure you will agree 50 goals are a big miss.
Big Big thank-you to my number two Jason Town who is not leaving but is going to follow his son Joe Town who is off to Brentford school of excellence.
Jason has been with the boys for the best part of 3 seasons and is brilliant to have around, he will continue to support training when ever he can but unfortunately will be unable to make any matches.
B-Team
I can only reflect on what Keith has told me through out the season, after a poor start the boys really got going and improved with every match,
Plenty of goals from Denis Nikoli and Tyler Colister helped keep their noses ahead, also some resolute defending from Spenser Pisano and top goalkeeping from Hugh Beasley helped the side through some tough matches.
Once again we anticipated big things from this group despite losing some players like Callum Russell ( Left ) and Josh Bonds ( injury ) they did not disappoint anybody by just missing out on league medals. A great effort!
Big Big thank-you to our B team Manager Keith who is also leaving us due to other commitments, Keith is a great character to have around, has been with the boys for the past 2-3 seasons and brought them on a great deal and will be missed by everybody.
C-Team
These boys have done miracles since we started, i took the first 5-6 games of phase 1 and found that the boys really did have what it takes to compete at that level, not only were they competing but they were winning and it was a pleasure to watch, it then became a struggle to get between A team and C team matches and was contemplating folding the C team rather than letting them be manager less, that was until Carl came along and took to the team like a duck out of water, Carl is like a breath of fresh air around the place and has really bonded with the boys, they have got better and better under Carl's management and i am sure better things are to come. Carl is also currently waiting to start his level 1 coaching badge.
Boys who are leaving: Ben frailing, Joe Town, Blaise riley-snow, Denis Nikoli & Halil Hiseni.
All these boys are trailist at the Brentford school of excellence,You have all been good servants to Northolt Eagles and have helped us bring continued success to our under 7's,8's,9's & 10's sides. If for any reason you guys need a chat or help with anything then please call and i will endeavour to help in anyway possible, you are always welcome training and can return to this club anytime you like.
I going to really miss you lot!
I wish you all the best for the future.
